Art Making

Over the past two years, the key focus of my practice has been play, exploration and development. By taking a deep dive into art making techniques that fill me with joy, this collection offers an insight into the beginning of a new line of enquiry. The idea was to expand my understanding of acrylic paint while creating a visual vocabulary that could be applied to different topics of inspiration - in this case the architecture of Old Amersham and the organic forms of spring tulips. The results are a collection of bold and graphic compositions that give way to rich layering, glazed overlays and delicate scratched detailing.
